After releasing earnings and voicing concerns over lackluster European Markets, $F stock fell almost a dollar with a surge in bearish option activity. However, today we see a reversal in that bearish trading action. 51% of the total option trades today have been bullish (buying calls or selling puts) while only 17% have been bearish (selling calls or buying puts) the rest have executed at mid market. A total of 2.11 million have been acquired through call buying or put selling. Notable large trades against low open interest are listed below:
1. Mar 16th 13C- 37,000 bought vs. OI of 24,000
2. Mar 1st expiry 12.50C- 7,700 bought vs. OI of 400
3. Mar 1st expiry 13C- 7,000 bought vs. OI of 1,400
Keep in mind these can always be hedges against a short stock position but unlikely. Check OI to make sure it has increased accordingly. Check back for more option trade analysis.
